CITY GUIDE · SEATTLE
Six downtown and South Lake Union hotels, grouped by how close they sit to Pike Place Market, the waterfront and the Space Needle.
Most of these hotels sit in the downtown core, within a short walk of Pike Place Market, the waterfront and the Seattle Art Museum. Four Seasons, Fairmont Olympic, Thompson and W Seattle are all in that zone, so you can reach the market and the Great Wheel on foot. Grand Hyatt is also downtown, in the heart of the business district. Astra is the outlier: it is in South Lake Union, about half a mile from the Space Needle, which suits visitors who want a quieter base near the lake. For a first visit, we would stay downtown.
Reference rates: nightly, 2 adults in one room, before tax, across four dates a year; from about US$198 a night. Compare all Seattle hotels with perks in one table: Seattle reference rates.
