Osaka's luxury hotels sit almost without exception on the top floors of high-rise towers. Umeda and Osaka Station are the transport hub in the north, with new hotels opening one after another. Nakanoshima, wedged between two rivers, is the old-school business district. Head south along Midosuji Avenue to Honmachi and Shinsaibashi and you reach the shopping and dining areas, while Osaka Castle lies to the east. The eight hotels in this guide were picked one by one from the Osaka hotels available under our perk programs. They run from a little over US$350 to a little over US$640 a night, noticeably cheaper than comparable hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto, so you can match one to your needs and budget.

In the MICHELIN Keys selection announced in September 2026, six of these eight hotels made the list, all with one Key: Conrad, W, Patina, The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Waldorf Astoria, which is new to the list this year.

First, how we check prices. All prices below are tax-inclusive advisor-channel rates for a February 1, 2027 check-in, 3 nights, 2 adults, shown as the nightly average (3-night total divided by 3) in US dollars. This channel rate is what we can get when booking for clients as an accredited travel advisor. It also comes with a set of perks you cannot book through public channels, such as breakfast, hotel-specific perks and room upgrades subject to availability. The specific perks are described in each hotel's section, and before booking we confirm them with the hotel one by one and put them on the client's confirmation.

Hotels are ordered by nightly average from lowest to highest, so you can keep a running sense of the numbers as you read.

Our full list of perk-eligible hotels (over 3,000 properties) is here: Global Luxury Hotels with Perks. It opens already filtered to Osaka, and we can check prices for any hotel on it, just as in this guide.
