Most of Shenzhen's luxury hotels are up high. The top floors of the office towers in the Futian CBD, the new landmark towers along Shenzhen Bay in Nanshan, the emerging Qianhai business district, and the super-tall buildings near the old Luohu border crossing hub make up the city's main luxury accommodation districts. What they share is that almost all occupy the upper floors of skyscrapers, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the city skyline or Shenzhen Bay, a very typical kind of modern business luxury, high above the city. The six hotels in this guide were picked one by one from the Shenzhen hotels available under our perk programs. They run from a little over US$350 to just over US$1,000 a night, so you can match one to your needs and budget.

First, how we check prices. All prices below are tax-inclusive advisor-channel rates for a November 1, 2026 check-in, 3 nights, 2 adults, shown as the nightly average (3-night total divided by 3) in US dollars. This channel rate is what we can get when booking for clients as an accredited travel advisor. It also comes with a set of perks you cannot book through public channels, such as breakfast, a room credit and room upgrades subject to availability. The specific perks are described in each hotel's section, and before booking we confirm them with the hotel one by one and put them on the client's confirmation.

Hotels are ordered by nightly average from lowest to highest, so you can keep a running sense of the numbers as you read.

Our full list of perk-eligible hotels (over 3,000 properties) is here: Global Luxury Hotels with Perks. It opens already filtered to Shenzhen, and we can check prices for any hotel on it, just as in this guide.

The St. Regis Shenzhen

The St. Regis Shenzhen tower at dusk

The St. Regis Shenzhen is on Shennan East Road in Luohu District and occupies floors 75 to 100 of the Kingkey 100 (KK100) tower, making it one of the highest luxury hotels in Luohu's old-school CBD. It has about 290 rooms, 41 of them suites, and almost every floor looks over Luohu's old town and out to the Hong Kong skyline in the distance.

Luohu is where Shenzhen's business and border districts first developed, right next to Shenzhen Railway Station and the Luohu border crossing, so crossing into Hong Kong is easy. The hotel continues St. Regis's tradition of butler service, with a personal butler assigned on check-in.

For dining, Social is the all-day restaurant with a Mediterranean-meets-Asian approach; Yan Ting serves Cantonese; Decanter, on the 100th floor, is for drinks and also serves dinner in the evening; afternoon tea is in the Drawing Room.

If you like the lively street life of the old town and want a room among the highest floors in Shenzhen, this one is worth considering.

For dining, Yun Jing on the 70th floor serves classic and innovative Cantonese dishes, with ten private rooms each named after a gem; the Long Bar on the 71st floor is a replica of the Long Bar at Raffles Singapore, famous for a Sling named after Shenzhen, and often has live music at night.

If you want the best bay view in Shenzhen and want to stay at a Raffles with butler service, this should be your first choice.

Conrad Shenzhen is on Tinghai Avenue in Qianhai, Nanshan District, one of the first international luxury hotels to open in the emerging Qianhai business district. The hotel was designed by Yabu Pushelberg and has 300 rooms and suites in all; even the smallest room type is 56 sq m, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Qianhai Bay or the city skyline.

The hotel brings an art-gallery concept into its public spaces, with artworks on permanent display in the corridors and lobby, and it is described as a rare gallery-style hotel in the Greater Bay Area. The rooftop terrace looks out over the sunset on Qianhai Bay, and there are also a spa and an indoor pool.

For dining, the Chinese restaurant CH’AO serves Teochew cuisine using local seasonal ingredients; The Common Room is the all-day restaurant serving international dishes; the bar is split between indoors and outdoors, with whisky and rum indoors and an outdoor terrace where you can drink while looking at the Qianhai Bay skyline.

For dining, Garden Pavilion on the 33rd floor serves mainly Cantonese with some Sichuan and Jiangnan dishes, in a décor of pavilions surrounded by greenery; Living Room is the all-day restaurant serving afternoon tea and cocktails; the hotel also operates Altitudes on floors 117 to 118 of the Ping An Finance Centre, the tallest restaurant in Shenzhen, with 360-degree views of the city.
